Have you tried pulling the cover off and getting a better look at it?

Be careful however - there's an airbag in that area.

I tried to get a better look from the bottom but couldn't see. I am afraid to take the cover down. I never took anything apart in this car and don't want to mess up anything or deploy the airbag. If no one knows, I might have to take it back to Toyota. Hopefully someone has seen this.

i don't have the same car but it looks like the temperature sensor for the climate control. it hooks up to the small went that's located about 4-6 inches right to your finger. its an super easy fix

Thanks, you were right. If you notice in the picture, the GBS VIP button is not sitting flush, that is because the broke it and wire tied it back in place. and in their attempts to hide it, they forgot to plug back the temp sensor.

I will be visiting the dealer tomorrow so that they can fix both.
