Dashboard crazy hot

Something very strange happened while driving my 07 over the weekend. I had the AC going, and the CD player was playing. I began to feel heat emanating from somewhere and began checking my controls. When I put my hand on the dash, it was crazy hot. Not warm, but very hot. For the life of me I could not figure what the hell was going on. I parked the car, went into a store and figured I'd have to drive the car straight to Toyota if the problem persisted after I turned on the engine again. It did not, thank goodness, but I'm still left very puzzled with the occurrence. Any ideas? I'm still under warranty.

Need more data:
- outside temps?
- was the sun hitting the dash?
- where on the dash was it hot?
- what temperature was the AC set to? (AC on doesn't necessarily mean that it's cooling - it can be warming as well)
- etc.
- etc.
- etc.

Dashboard crazy hot

Tom -- It was a wonderful day in Northern California.....not too cold, not too hot. Sun was definitely not bearing down on the dash. When I say the dashboard was hot, I mean the full length of the dashboard. The AC was set lower than 68. I checked all the controls to make sure I didn't have heat on. I was doing in town driving but not in heavy traffic. This was too weird. While it seems the problem will have to be duplicated to get to the bottom of it, I swear I hope it doesn't happen again!

I got nothing...

Only thing I can suggest is wait to see if it happens again and then take it to the dealer?
