07 Avalon - rear door won't open from inside

I just purchased an Avalon and the passenger rear door won't open from the inside. I have made sure the child lock is off and I've jiggled it back and forth a few times but it still doesn't work. Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks!

You might need to take the door panel off and see if the metal rod that connects the handle to the mechanism is still connected.

I'd take it back to the dealer who you bought it from and have them fix it! If something breaks in the process, it's on their dime. No need to be tearing things apart and be liable until you absolutely have to!
