My question is, has anyone experienced a delay in starting the XLS? When first starting with the cylindric key it does not catch right away. It turns over a little longer than I'd expect. Then I stop and try again, that's when it catches right away and starts on the 2nd try. This does not seem normal to me.

Anyone know the cause of this?

I have the same problem, when the car is cold, it takes a few cranks for the car to start. I just hold the key in the starting position until the car starts. Maybe its the battery, I was going to change the battery, I'll let you know if this fixes the problem.
