Remove A V A L O N

Has anyone else done it? It was one of the first 'mods' I did to my car. My wife had to read a book called 'The Mists of Avalon' in college and ever since, the word Avalon might as well be Estrogen to me, so it had to go when I bought my car. IMO, the rear end of the car looks way better and cleaner without those letters across the trunk. I was pleasantly surprised that they were just adhered on and came off without any trouble or blemish to the paint underneath. Just curious if anyone else took it off their trunk lid?

Hi there!

I've got an 08' Avalon and was wondering how did you remove the letters on the trunk?

Could you kindly explain it step by step?

Your help is much appreciated :-)

Thankx.

I have not done it, but one of the Avalons I was looking at, already had it done. Personally, I didn't like it at all. It looked like something was missing.

I think this is one of those situations where everyone is going to have a differing opinion. It's all up to what you prefer...

You need a heat gun, dental floss and cleaner wax or goo gone.

Heat the area slightly to melt the adhesive and floss behind the emblems.

Remove the remaining residue with goo gone and follow up with a cleaner wax and buff the area with a microfiber cloth.

You can also substitute the dental floss with fishing line.
