Transmission Re-Flash TSB --> Yes -or- No

I have a new-to-me low-mile 2005 Touring.
Have been thinking of having Toyota re-flash the transmission programming.
The trans does odd things, like what feels like an upshift as I slow down for
a light, but a glance at the tach says engine speed went UP, not down.
There are other odd things it does, but can't quite describe them.
SO...
(a) Would you have your trans re-flashed?
(b) If you've have had your Gen3 trans re-flashed, are results worthwhile?
Does the transmission act better/smoother/more normal ??
Thanks in Advance

I've heard it helps a great deal. I've not yet had my 07 flashed, nor my recalls done, but its all on my to do list.

I bought my "new to me" 2008 Avalon about a year ago, and the transmission felt like it was not doing something right, but I couldn't pinpoint it. I just guessed I wasn't used to it. Several months back I had my trans. flashed along with all the other recalls. It must have made a difference, because I haven't thought about or noticed my trans. at all since then until I read your post. Either I got used to it, or the flash solved the problem. Not sure which, but I think it was the flash that did it.

Transmission question

I own a 08 touring and have noticed that sometimes, especially when accelerating from a stop that the transmission seems to slip and engine RPM's jump 300-500 before it settles back into 3rd gear. Are you describing this issue? What is Re-Flashing?

Thank you for your time.

I think the tanny reflash target specific years? (or pretty much all gen 3?)
How do you guy approach the dealer to do something like that? What about the cost?
