USA Bought a 06 Avalon XLS! Love this car!

Just picked her up the other day. She has 55k miles and I got her from an older couple who babbied the crap outta this thing. It looks like it just came off the show room floor and has never seen 60MPH.

Am looking to do a few upgrades -

- Drilled and slotted rotors
- Powder coated calipers (RED)
- 20" rims chrome low profile tires
- Borla Mufflers
- Cold Air Intake (Maybe)
- Dark window tint
- OEM Spoiler
- 8K 35 watt HIDS (Low Beam)
- 6k 55 watt HIDS (High Beam)
- 3K 35 watt HIDS (Fogs)
- OEM Ground Effects (One day)
- Double Din Pioneer w/ Navi
- Head rest TV monitors
- 2 12" subs (3K watts)
- 2 way w/ paging remote start

And that's all I can come up with thus far but I am sure I will find some thing else to add.

I am surprised that there are not more of these bad machines being customized! What's the deal with that? Is it because the car is already perfect?

Any ways I would love to see some nice looking Avalons that all you have. Inspiration is priceless!

You wont be able to do high beams. The car has day time running lights, unless you keep them shut off all the time. You lose the auto function if you set it to drl off. Also, why in the world would you want 8k lights. That color temp is so far purple you get worse light output than crap stock halogen lights. Anything above about 4500k has worse output.

Thanks for the info about the High beams that saved me a 80 dollar mistake. J As far as the 8K hids I believe you may be mistaken. 6K are the brightest hids and lights available and are a (True White) color. 8K is simply slightly not as bright but still brighter then any thing stock but has a tint of blue. I have had hids installed by myself on every car I have owned and have nothing but great things to say about them. I would suggest 6K or 8K to any one looking for a better light source and of course 3k (Yellow) for fogs.

Actually, I'm correct. Oem HID at 4300-4500k range is the brightest of all temperatures output wise. Thats why nearly all oem lights use it.

4300K has an approximately 3100lm output

6000K has an approximately 2900lm

8000K has an approximately 2500lm

6000 looks cooler, but I drive at night on 2 lane dark country roads a lot, so light output was more important to me. I am thinking about doing a 3000k fog light hid kit though.
