I am about to purchase 2011 Limited loaded however the air condition is not cold

I just put a down payment on a 2011 Avalon Limited fully loaded with everything. The car was on the showroom floor. At one time it was a company's rep. car and it currently has 6000 miles on it, so I getting it for alot off the list price of $38,363. I liked the car, however, the air condition does not seem to be cold as it should. I currently have a 2004 XLS and the air is very cold. I would like to hear what other people have to say. Thank you.

I'm not going to comment on the AC, but would like to say something about the price.

You're paying about $4000 more for a used fully loaded 2011 than I paid for my fully loaded 2007 limited that was brand-new. With the market being the way it is today I would have expected a much lower price for a used car (they're trying to get the 2011's out to make room for the 2012's).

Perhaps you could rethink the deal (or at least tell the dealer you're thinking that might not be the best deal for you). See what else is on the lot and ask for their best price on it. If nothing else - cancel the deal and visit another Toyota dealer?

The way I read what he said is, he's getting a lot off the list price he has there. I dont think he actually said what he's getting it for? OP - care to let us know what you're actually paying?

Also, in regards to AC, my 07 is nipple-stiffingly cold if you leave it set at like 74. I usually have to let the temp on auto sit at 78 once im cold enough.

That doesn't sound right. I'd get the AC checked out before I took delivery on the car. My '05 Limited can get so cold my glasses fog up when I get out of the car.

I have a 2011 and the AC is fine. I have found that the unit every once in a while wants to drop out of recirculation air mode. In Florida with the high humity that just won't do. Other than that everything is fine and cold. I cruise the temp set 73 degrees in manual mode, recirculation ON. Good luck and hope you enjoy the car.
