Theres no way tey change it for 2012 they just did the face lift this year.im sure this look will be around at least 3 years
Agreed, I'm sure this version of the Avalon will last for at least 2-3 years. It's just a shame because the platform and most mechanicals date back to 2005. In the automotive world, that's a long time to hold onto a model without a total redesign.
It will be interesting to see how well the 2011 sells- in the face of a relatively new Buick Lacrosse and Ford Taurus, not to mention smaller premium sedans like the TL, ES, and others in that class. I'm sorry, but if I had a choice between a $35,000 Avalon and a $37,000 Lexus ES, I'd go for the ES, even if it had less features. (Even though that car has been around since late 2006 without a major redesign too)
In my eyes the ES is nothing to the Avalons the GS is more comparable to me looks wise and most features. But yes the new TL is very nice.BUT size is an issue for me i like larger cars the TL is alot more sporty. And also think of it as. How many people have those other cars.ALOT.I found that not MANY PEOPLE UNDER 30 OWN THESE CARS NEVER MIND WITH THEM DONE CUSTOM.THATS WAS WHAT HELPED ME DECIDE I WANTED SOMETHING THAT I HAVENT SEEN EVERY HUSTLER OUT THERE DRIVEING.

You are right, the target buyer for Avalon is old people like me
How often you see someone young and drive an Avalon? Not alot. I think those folks who pick the Avalon (the younger crowd) understand the Avalon brings in much better value than other cars out there.
It will be great if Toyota decided to keep the current model (Avalon) for few more years. Which mean better value for our "old used" car.
To quote a magazine article I read, "nothing says you're old, like a toyota avalon"
I just happen to resent that, I'm 28 and I purposely chose a big luxury cruiser.
Way back, I already know Avalon provides a great value and I also like the older style of Avalon. However, everytime I mentioned about it, my wife will think Oh my god, old man's car...no way... Until she drove one... now she drives one.
The truth is that just like other mentioned, buying a loaded Limited takes you to the Lexus ES price point (compares new/near new) so I guess the best value is to hand pick a nice used Avalon from "old" folks, like me

Well a big part of getting my avalon (PAID IN FULL..28 years old.)was the fact that i seen that even the 2005s were still priced high and that these cars hold there value well, and are "reliable".Then the fact that i was gonna PIMP the Shit out of it...Theres no avalon in my area like mine..PERIOD
2012 Avalon won't have any big changes and they just announced pricing for it. It's the 2013 Avalon, which should come out in 2012 that will be completely redesigned and that dealers were shown at the recent meeting in Vegas.
