Blue Tooth ???

Being a little slow with the electronic marvels of today I have a question about the Blue Tooth.
My son did all the hookup in my 08 Avalon about a month ago and all has worked as it should----until today when I shut off the Blue Tooth on my cell phone. I did turn it back on but the icon in the dash does not come on and it will not work.
How do I turn the Blue Tooth back on in the car??
Son lives about a thousand miles away and was here on vacation. I did call and ask him, but we all know how that works.

Some Phone you MIGHT need to re sych them together.Turn nn bluetooth on the phone then search for devices and see if u find the cars handsfree or use the speak button on the wheel and set up the phone again.
