06 Touring Auto Headlight feature

Is there a way for the headlights to turn off automatically when the car is turned off? I have the lights on the auto feature, but they always stay on for 15-20 secs after the car is turned off and even locked.

Is there a way to make them turn off when locked, or when the car is turned off?

Thanks

Not that Ihave found- Leave mine on auto also. When I pull in garage & shut off car, If i remember to do so, I just turn to manual then back to auto and they shut off.

You have to have the dealer program when the lights turn off. I found you cannot have the lights go off when you turn the motor off. Instead, the best you can do is have them go off when you open the door.

You could always press the lock button twice on the remote keyfob to turn them off immediately.

there is a reason for why the light is on for short time. But for whatever reason you want this to disable. I think you should NOT use the auto feature, just use the manual on/off and turn it off once you park your car.

I also don't see an issue with this. The car was designed to turn off the lights after a period of time provided the lights are in the 'Auto' or the 'On' positions. If this is a concern about draining the battery - if your battery can't support the headlights/taillights for a few minutes of use - it needs replacing anyway!

If you just don't want the lights to be on after you shut off the car for some other reason - you can pay the dealership to reprogram the time delay or turn them off the old-fashioned way.
