2011 Avalon-cd title doesn't display - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

2011 Avalon Lmtd w/ nav;
CD title and song name fails to display.
I've yet to see the information displayed on any cd I've played.
These same cds show the info on every other car I've played them in.
I can't find any info in the manuals.
Am I missing something here?
I know that the cd text info exists on the cds.

Is there someone with a 2011 Avalon w/ nav that can stick a cd in and let me know if the artist and song title is displayed, before I make an issue of it at the dealer.

Not that it helps you, but my 07 with nav display's cd txt.

Go ask the dealer. It just may be incompatible technologies.....2011 Nav might be too "advanced", so to speak, for an older CD.

Very interesting. I havent purchased any "retail" cd's in quit a while, so I found a couple old ones (2007 era) and put them in my 2011 Limited W/nav. No info displayed. I put in CD's That I burnt from individual MP3s and all info was displayed. I would guess that if I would rip the Retail to MP3s I'd see that one or both of the info tags (ID1 or ID2) is missing.
