I have an 06 XLS, and my check engine light as well as VSC comes on. This after had completed a HID Ballast replacement. I took the car battery out to make some room for my habds to get behind the light. Also my master window switch for the driver side and passenger side windows lost is auto roll feature. My wife takes it to the dealership and they tell her its gonna be around $800 to fix. They call me today and tell me that P0354 is coming up and it has something to do with a coil in cylinder 4.

Can anyone shed some light and is it something that I can do myself through this community? TIA

The owners manual discusses how to get the auto close back on the window and sunroof. It has to be reinitialized everytime the battery is out. Its a two minute process.

I have seen a few threads regarding bad coils.

I have a 100k warranty. Is this covered by the warranty or am i S.O.L. and having to pay out of pocket?

If you have a 100K warranty then the service should be free minus any deductible you have.

I had the same thing Ign coil 4. Its the middle front...dam stealership told me it was the middle back....and charged me $110 labor.

Anyway...had it fixed at 50,000 miles and now at 60,000 mile ign number 6 acts up. This time....I ordered it from rock auto for $50....and will DIY.

I am sorry to say I do not see the quality in the toyota brand anymore....newer models seem to be of a lower quality.....next car will be a nissan!
