Help with HID's on 05 camry

Hello all. Was wondering if someone can help me out. I have an 05 carry xle and want to upgrade to hid's. Has anyone done it? What color temp ? 6000k? Also do the drls need to be disconnected? Thanks

First off you're in the Avalon Forum

2nd, I'm sure it can be done, simple as buying the right kit with the appropriately based bulb.

3rd, 4300K is the brightest and why OEM's use it. 6000K tints more towards blue with less light output. Anything higher is for "ricers" and looks only.

Thanks for the good info. Would you know if I need to disable drls? They seem to run on the high beams anyway do I'm not sure

You'd have to disable them only if you put in HID's in the highbeam slot. Low beams should be unaffected.
