Paint looks different?

I just had a rear bumper replaced by a highly rated body shop. I notice it looks a slight shade different than the rest of the car. I was about to return it, but got to looking at the front bumper, and it looks a little shaded too. (It's never been repaired) Is this normal because these bumpers or plastic, and the car is metal. Does that make the paint look a little different. I hate to go back to the body shop if this is normal, which I actually now think it probably is. Any opinions?? My car is the Cassis red color.
Thanks,
Bill

paint on metal and plastic will have different look for sure. If you check out the 97-01 Camry, all the cars have this problem. More noticeable on GOLD and SILVER. Couple weeks ago, I checked out some 05-2010 Honda Odyssey, same thing, no paint job but not one but 3 Odyssey on the lot has the different paint issue.

If you go look at a new car dealership at a row of cars in the sun... you'll see that all of them have slightly off colored plastic bumper covers when compared to the paint on the body. The amount of difference varies by color. Some are pretty close and some are really off!

I've decided I'm just going to live with it. The Avalon is such a great car, why get hung up on such mundane deatails. I truely love my Avalon.

Good choice.
I always think Avalon buyers are smart
Seriously, if not the Avalon, what would you buy with the same $ out there?

actually thought about it over the weekend.
We were looking for a replacement van due to a recent accident. Man, it costs near $35K for a Sienna XLE and still doesn't have heated/cooled seat and yet, cheap interior

for half the cost, I can get a very nice Avalon Limited but she said NO, we need a van!
