Does my 2005 Avalon XLS support Double DIN?

Hello, new member to the forums. I am interested in purchasing a new car deck for my Avalon, because I am not entirely satisfied with the current stock one. My question is, does my car support Double DIN? I want to install the following deck but I haven't had any luck confirming that this will fit.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Highly unlikely without a lot of modifications. Crutchfield may be the best place to go to find out for sure. Their very helpful in trying to figure out what will fit and they may have a fit kit that will work for you.

The actual slot itself is a double din, however, the dash with the curve and "garage door" for the radio do not allow installation of a double din without a fair amount of modification.

one problem I always run into when doing aftermarket is the final trim piece will never fit.

It is very difficult to get a flush look. Most of the time, after the installation, the head unit stick out about 1/4 inche and it looks BAD! Wonder if the new double DIN has the same problem.
