AT Filter Kit

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...3230&ppt=C0023

I am going to be changing the transmission fluid sometime soon on my dad's avalon. I read the following threads to understand what needs to be done.
http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...&Number=922912
http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...-transmission/

Would it do no harm to remove the pan and replace the filter and gasket with the WIX 58010 filter kit?
Other than that the procedure looks pretty simple, I have done about 4 drain and refills on my 99 this year alone and haven't had any problems.

Nobody?

I noticed the trans. pan gasket is leaking, while doing an oil change. Now it needs replacement anyways. So is it ok to use the Wix Filter kit?

I've used Wix Oil/Air/Transmission filters in Asian vehicles.

In my opinion - they are high quality.

Great. I use them for everything else, but I was making sure if OEM was the way to go for this. Also, the windshield washer tank is leaking, hopefully its a loose of broken hose.

There's a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) about the washer fluid tank leak. Seems the hose pops off the bottom. The fix is to put the hose back on and secure it with a clamp. Toyota will take care of it if the car is under warranty.

I, too, have used Wix AT filter kits (not in Avys, tho...). The gaskets were excellent and tightened down nicely.
