Camry Cold Air Intake on Avalon

I've been looking for simple bolt-on Mods for my 2006 Avalon. My question is how similar is the 07+ Engine bay of the V6 Camry to that of a 05+ Avalon. I know that they share the same engine, and that being the case I wanted to use a Fujita CAI that is for a 07-08 Camry on my Avalon.

Can I ask what your expectations are by installing it? Better mileage? More power? Throttle-roar? Looks?

IMO, too much work and money just for a throaty sound. Yes, it might give a little more hp, but that is negligible.
To answer your question, yes it should fit, might require a little modification maybe.

+1 and I don't like the idea of a cone filter just sitting in the front of the engine. Maybe sucking up debris, dirt and even water.

I've had some experience with open-element intakes in pickup trucks and Mustangs. Surprisingly, there's no more debris and dirt or water (unless you're off-roading!) than with an OEM intake system.

One issue I notice repeatedly is heat soak. If you're sitting still at a light or in heavy traffic and then want to accelerate quickly you'll notice a distinct drop in power. The underhood temperatures raise quickly when there's not a lot of abmient air entering there. The open-element intakes (unless they're blocked off from the rest of the underhood area) will suck that hot air in. Cooler air allows for a more dense air/fuel mixture.

But on a personal note - the Avalon is a quiet cruiser. I wouldn't want the throttle roar of an open-element intake system disturbing my peace and quiet. For that I'll hop in the Mustang!

I'm just exploring what few options we Avalon owners have, were ever I can pick up a few extra miles to a gallon or a few HP I'll take them. In the past this has been the the second upgrade after addressing my brakes.

Better mileage, yes when ever you can let a engine breath easier that's a win.
More power, yes please and where ever and how ever you can get it that's a win.
Throttle-roar, not so much I have yet to get on the Avalon. I drive it accordingly.

Living in South Florida where it rains about 4-5 days out of the week from late April till November, and it Rains here heavy with flash flooding sometimes. I had a 95 Integra GSR lowered 3" for 9 years it had Mugen Headers, tuned ECU from Toyomoto, and a list of other tuning items it had a AEM cold air that the filter right behind the turning signal light, and I NEVER had a problem with water ingestion.

I'm looking to take an efficient and make it better.

If you're looking for any mod to increase your fuel mileage, you have to factor in the cost of the mod and any resultant benefit from it. For example, if the intake system costs $300.00 and you get a 1mpg increase in fuel mileage (and I think that would be optimistic), it's going to take you several tens of thousands of miles just to recoup that $300.
