2011 Avalon mirrors dimming?

hi guys, i'm new to the Toyota community. i just got a 2011 Avalon yesterday dont know if the mirrors suppose to dim, when alot of light hits it but, i notice the rear view mirror and diver mirror dims when i drive but my passenger mirror doesn't. its really noticeable. is that normal? is there a setting where i can change the dimming, set to (high and low or right to left)? it might be just me lol, dont really know . thanks in advance fellas!

That doesn't sound right. On the 07 all three mirrors dim. You might want to have the dealership take a look at it under warranty.

2 options depending on the Avalon model you have.

good Color-keyed foldable power heated outside mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming feature and turn signal indicators

better Color-keyed foldable power heated outside mirrors with auto-dimming feature, turn signal indicators and puddle lamps

What does your window sticker show for your car? Also, have you read your owner's manual? That can ofter clear things up for you.

Read the owner's manual yesterday, and found out that it should dim on both mirrors. Ended up at the dealers today. Techs told me that the mirror fail and was verified. I have to go back again for an additional diagnose time. So, now I'm going back on Friday. Hopefully ill get it fix then.

Thanks Fellas!

My 06 limited does. You can turn it off/on from the inside rearview mirror 2nd button from right (next to compass button) it turns on a tiny green light next to the button.

My 09 limited has one spot for a light which is on and then the garage door buttions and the button that looks like te round symbol like a power button. But the second spot for a light doesnt light up..I think this is for the anti glare for the inside mirror. My manual also doesnt mention the dimming out side mirrors,.

From the right I have a button with a N which is the compass then there is a power button that turns off and on the reaview mirrors dimming all 3 of them (the inside and both outside mirrors )When starting the car it's on by default and when you press it the little green light goes off shutting the dimming option.
