2006 Avalon High Beam adjustment HELP!!!

I just bought a 2006 Avalon. I know how to adjust the low beam but the high beam is lower than the low beam and I know the low beam isn't to high it could even come up some more but I really need to get the high beam up more.

Thanks

The high beams on my 06 limited suck!
I tried putting in better bulbs still sucks. Mine adjust by themselves but they just don't cut it.

Is it even possible to adjust one without adjusting the other? They're both in the same housing.

Mine are the self-leveling HIDs so I don't know how much help I can be to ya...

upside down bulb

just got over that speed bump today on my 06 Avalon.
low and high beam are 2 separate bulbs.
both are adjusted together.

so if low beam is ok,
but the high beam is pointing to the ground about 10ft in front of the car ..
its because the high beam bulb is installed *upside* down!
rotate the bulb in its socket.

easy fix...
enjoy night driving again.

cu,

Man, I noticed my wife's Avalon has its low-beams pointing 10 feet in front of it and you can't see down the road at all. Where is the low-beam adjustment so we can see at night?

hey tanner,

if the problem started when a burned out bulb was replaced with a new one, then in all likelihood, the new bulb was installed upside down.

don't mess with the alignment.. have the mechanic flip the bulb in its socket.

i'm getting the feeling that Toyota has Avalon headlight bulbs that have an up-down direction... but they didn't put out a service notice. the new bulbs aren't labeled ... or... the mechanics don't read the package.

this seems to be a wide spread problem... that really shouldn't be an issue.

the owners manual recommends that headlights be changed by a mechanic because there can be high voltage around it...that could be life threatening.. so take care and let a pro fix it.

it is *amazing* what rotating the bulb 180 degrees does for beam alignment.
