navigation control unit won't open all the way

I have a 2006 Limited with factory installed navigation. The navigation system control unit won't open all the way. It looks like the door has pulled away from the unit itself (it was glued on?). At first I thought something on the the unit had come apart in back causing it to get hung up in the opening but it looks like the unit is getting hung up because it's now too high to pass thru the opening. I tried to push it down with a srewdriver but I'm not able to push it down. Any ideas?

I had the same problem on my 06 limited. Here is how I fixed my problem:
Open the NAV control, use your finger to hold the side and use your other hand to push the top down so it can get pass the opening.
Once you have the NAV control open, you can see the back came lose. You need to apply some force while holding the side and try to press the back end back to position.
It can be done (unless your have different problem)

The same problem happened on my wife's 05 Limited as well (yes a 2nd one) I used the same method to fix the same problem.
Hope it will help.

Navigation unit door

Thanks for your posts. The problem was that the door had become separated from the control unit on one side causing the unit to become skewed in the opening. I made a hook out of a piece of wire hangar and was able to get it behind the unit and pull forward from behind and was able to get it open all the way. Actually I'd tried this earlier and tried to pull from the top which didn't work. This time I tried pulling from the side that was farthest away from the door and that worked.
