i dont think its illegal to repaint ur car...unless ur state has some kooky law..but i hear repaint decreases value

its legal but, you'll need to go to the dmv and let them know you painted the car a different color.

You can repaint a car any color you want.....

At least in AZ and CA, there is no requirement to tell the MVD/DMV....

Beware that many dealers won't accept the vehicle as a trade, tho....and it will be tougher to re-sell as dealers/people associate re-paint with collision and/or body work.

I'd stick with the original color, or try to trade for what you want, as a good paint job (not the cheap ones) is expensive....

If you do repaint, get your quote, including the door frames, etc., not just what you see from the outside...

The VIN number says what color the car is. If the car is black and I get a speeding ticket, wouldn't the cop write a ticket for the paint job?

Cops Dont Go Around Checking Vin Numbers To Match Colors...Shiiitt They Hardly Write Ur License Plates Right.........Unless Its Stolen
