Not sure what you mean by "stupid rubber dash kits" but I can tell you the OEM dash kits are NOT real wood.

hghflyrjd1's post above has a couple of good leads for ya - the dealer and a junk yard are two other ideas to pursue.

Yes some dealers also have the wood kits available.

Thanks tom, i know they are not "real" wood but they are what most people are trying to get but end up going with a cheaper option.

Just don't go overboard on wood trim.
A little wood trim give a great touch and feel of the car.
I see folks put on aftermarket wood pretty much eveywhere, cover so many places that kind of look... you know. (not to mention in a year or two, those poor quality trim turns yellow and pop out....)
If you go with kit, get a good quality set

Thanks. I am just looking for the oem trim and just for those particular locations. Ill probably try junk yard first and then the dealers because I want the actual parts not the vinyl trim that goes over the existing pieces.

I have a 08 Touring and I want to do the same to make it look like a limited model since I already installed a wood steering wheel and shift knob. I am not really interested in those stick-on wood trim either.

Called the dealer and they told me the wood trims that goes on the door are part of the whole door panel so I cannot just buy the trim.

Where did you get the steering wheel and shifter knob, the junk yard, or online, and how much did it cost you?

The shift knob was from another Toyota Avalon Limited model I found on Ebay. It was 95% new, $40 shipped.

The steering wheel was from Ebay as well. I bought it from a guy who bought the original Toyota Avalon steering wheel somewhere, reconditioned it with all NEW black leather and NEW burled wood on the top and bottom section. Got a great deal at $240 shipped (wo airbay of course). He was not able to sell in in Ebay for over a month, originally he listed it at $299 plus $40 shipping. I offered him $200 plus $40 shipping and he accepted it.

Another $50 for my mechanic to install it with my original airbag.

I checked out a couple of place in the internet and both wanted $450-500 with core exchange.

Here is one for $339, but you need to send your original steering wheel to them first to have it reconditioned. That could mean 1.5 to 2 weeks down time including transit. Well, at least they will pay for the return shipping charge.

Light colored wood trim makes me nauseous. Why would you ruin you touring interior.

I don't want the light trim. But I think the dark burl wood will go well with the black leather.
