Navigation map US > Europe

Does anyone have any idea how to get a map of Europe for a US 2010 Prius, using the E7022 system. Toyota US said it is not available and Toyota Europe said the same?

I'm not entirely positive but I wonder if European dealers have them. Dealerships all over the US sell the US maps, so why can't European dealers sell European maps?

That seems silly to me. Obviously I know Toyota doesn't want cars shipped from the US to Europe, but having similar systems would cut costs.

On a second thought....is there any way to swap out the Nav system in a US Prius for a Nav system in a European one?

The units for Europe and North America function with different operating systems, that's why they're not compatible. Go figure.

That's why I'm wondering if it's possible to swap out systems entirely? Could be expensive, but it could be a solution.

I don't see why not, but like you said it would be an expensive solution.
