Bodyside Striping Placement

Very informative Forum! Negotiating for an '11 base in Blizzard Pearl/Ivory. Have done the negotiations, subject to my approval after driving the dealer trade coming in.

Does anyone have pictures of the side of an '06-'11 Avalon that has been paint/tape striped? [I prefer paint.] Looking for ideas as to placement of the striping, possibly near to bottom of window surround, or maybe lower, toward concave crease.

Would appreciate any personal experiences on this. Have searched quickly in archives, without result. Realize not all would desire striping, but it is a LOT of white without any highlight or accent.

Thanks.

Bodyside Striping

Can't wait for my Blizzard Pearl/Ivory std. Avalon to come in on the dealer trade. Should be beautiful.

Hoping someone from this group will have striped a car and have a picture to share, or a description, of where the striping lies to best advantage.

Many Thanks in advance,

Dyson

Hi and welcome to TN!

There has been some discussion in the past about pinstriping the Avalon but the pictures that were included in that thread are now the infamous 'Red-X'. You can use the forums' search feature (try 'pinstripe' or 'pinstriping' and have a read of the results.

As far the car being 'a lot of white' - that might not be such a bad thing depending on what else (if anything) you plan for the car. But overall - it's a matter of personal preference.

Nooooooo!!! Don't do it!

Pinstripes are so "1980's". Maybe you could talk them into putting a vinyl top and whitewalls on it, too.

I'm just giving you a hard time, but I DO feel that there's definitely not too much white on that car.

I think you are going to love that car. I like the look of the new ones. Just enough of a change to make the car look a little nicer, but still looks like an Avalon.

Here's mine...

There ^ is a fine example of leaving well-enough alone.
