Stuck Front Cup Holder (help)

My front (dash) cup holder is stuck.
Is there another way to get it open?

A cell phone charger was placed inside and was shut and now it wont open.

Since the object is physically jammed it looks like your only option would be to take the dash apart. Probably your best option is to purchase a two-day subscription for $15 to Toyota's Technical Information System and download the specs and diagrams necessary to take the dash apart to get at the cup holder and do it yourself. With luck and a little foresight on the part of Toyota's designers, perhaps it will be easier to remove than it looks...one can hope. To have a dealer or private mechanic do it for you would kill you on labor costs.
