How difficult if any would it be to install mud guards myself on a 2006 avy? Just bought the car and it has been raining out and noticed the car kicks up a lot of water.
Piece of cake. If you have basic hand tools and a little mechanical skills - you can do it easily. If you buy the Toyota mudguards they come with instructions on how to install them. Best part is - no drilling!
The hardest part was jacking up the rear to remove the wheels. While you don't have to remove them it does make it easier to install the hardware.
there is a good detail on how to install mud guards on this forum, do a quick search you will see it. The front, no need to take off the wheel, just turn it you will have enough room. The rear, you will need to take the wheel off. Not difficult. maybe a 2/10 scale (the most)

uknow79, try TRDParts to order them. You can chose your color or order unpainted. This is where I ordered mine from. Good prices and fast shipping. Good luck.
