My Highbeam Issue Turned Out To Be Shattered Bulbs....This Is An On-Going Issue With The 2008 Avalon.....If You're Not Under Warranty This Is Like $2600 PRoblem...You Have To Get Completely NEW Headlight Assemblies...So NOOO MY Install HAD NOTHING To Do With This...Toyota Was VERY Negligent In Handling My Car...They Apologized For Missing Clips and Only One Fuse Was Missing(Dome light fuse)...They Compensated Me With AVS rain Gaurds and A Toyota Ipod Interface..Heres A Link With Testimonials From Other People With The Same Problem...This SHOULD Be A Recall Not A TSB

My high beams went out last year in Wyoming. Both bulbs shorted out and of course the daytime running lights went out. The cost at my dealer to fix the problem (including bulbs) was $189.88. That was 20,000 miles ago and so far the problem has not occurred again. I read the complaint link you listed and it's amazing the different responses dealers have to this situation.
