The stainless mesh grille that are for your 05 will only have the top main grille area the 08+ as the 2 piece set.
thanks, I saw that one on ebay, I saw a guy driving one with the toyota emblem on the grille, he also had the mesh grille on the bottom it was the same model as mine, maybe it was a mod. I wanted to find one that wasnt as expensive and has the toyota emblem on the grill. If this is the only place you know about then thanks!

Te emblem is only optinal and you must remove the emblem from your stock grille to pop into the cutout in the new grille.I have not seen a grille for the lower area.and CHEAPER i dont see that happening.
thats cool, thanks man, its kinda hard to get stuff and do things to our cars. have you done anything to the engine? i wanted to put on a high performance air filter are there any other things we can do? btw your car is nice man.

No motor stuff.I hear our Avalons have a cold air intake already.I never found much performance items for our cars.BUT as u can see i have almost every LOOKS option for our cars.
Maybe that's why our avy's are so fast! I didn't know it had an I take already on it! I was wondering why it had so much pep!!! thanks for all your info, I will get my grille and rims and be almost as "tight" as you!

Thanks.I think TominTachoma Mentioned it before but i remember reading it somewere..Im just happy i choose this car and then took the Avalon to the AvaDon Level.lol..Thanks
I think you may have misunderstood. Our intake systems are designed to take in outside air as it enters the grill (versus sucking in under hood air). But that's not the same as an open-element intake (some call them cold-air intake systems).
From my experience dyno-testing Ford trucks and Mustangs there really isn't much performance improvement by installing an open-element intake system alone. It's not until you install other performance mods that you benefit; supercharger, turbo, computer tuner, heads, headers, hi-flow exhaust and hi-flow catalytic converters.
In one case we baselined a '98 Expedition with a 4.6L V-8 with the factory airbox. Next we swapped the airbox lid with one that was cut away to mimic the open-element style and used a K&N filter. Last run was with an AirAide intake system and their brand of open-element filter. The difference between stock and the performance intake system? 1 rear-wheel horsepower. To me it wasn't worth it at any cost.
Again - the intake system alone isn't going to provide you any appreciable benefit. If it's design causes it to suck in hot underhood air - you may actually degrade the performance.
