Skipping cd changer

Anyway to clean a skipping cd player? It seems that certain disk tray skip example 1,2,4 dont skip and 3,5,6 when parked even skip. is there anyway to clean these? or fix ( dont know how you would fix).

I have another question because i might just replace this unit with a jbl one. the radio code for the avalon is there a code for each radio or is it for each car?

Have you tested the CD player with the same disk on each slot to confirm the skip?
I think you can get CD cleaner from most music store.

As for JBL, if you have the standard CD player and want to change it to JBL, I am not sure it is just a plug n play since JBL has ext. amp (90% for sure) with more speakers support then the standard CD/radio head unit.

i just wanted to make sure could put a cd cleaner in the player before i did so. I thought there is only one cd player and it just switches disks trays?

yeah i dont know about this either that is why i was asking. i know that the jbl unit has an amp but am not sure if all speakers are amped or not.
