TPMS sensor - winter wheels

Does anyone know where the best place to get TPMS sensors is for a reasonable price? I am pre-planning for winter wheels and tires as they always seem to be out of stock if you wait too long. Any recommendations for tires. Yeah I know spring is just starting - but I live in MI, so we could get snow in June

I have always been pleased with Tire Rack, I don't know if they are the cheapest but I know they have them.

They have been my reference point thus far. $288 for a set.

Can take offs be used? i.e. camry or avalon?

I dont put sensors in my winter wheels or 20s.not worth it for the few months they are on.It does not effect anything on the car.So i figured why bother.

I am in Michigan so I have 5 months with winter tires and 7 months w/o. How many months do you run yours?

Good to know. Probably a waste of $288 then. I am good about checking pressure anyway and the Avalon system is just a warning. It would have been nice if it read each tire and displayed like GM. What tires do run in the winter? I am thinking about dropping down to 16" with steel wheels.

LOL i drop all the way down to a 19 inc with 225 45 19 tires the 20s have a 225 35 20 the 45 is enough to not worry about pot holes as much and enough meat for the winter for me anyways.Goodyear eagle rs-a.Nothing super but i didnt slip and slide and could still climb hills from slow speeds etc no spin decent road noise and ride.but i didnt rock the stock 17s for more then 2 months.sold them and got all my upgraded wheels.look on my SIG that's now and my cardomain page has everything ive done there.Even though all my stock Toyota wheels DO have the sensors but i refused to pay 150 bucks or so to reprogram them for short time use and no real effect.

I have a 07 camry and bought 2nd set of TPMS sensors but car will only recognize 1 set. that may be different with new toyo's. So I just use them on summer set. I use Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice and am able to climb a 30 hill, i was the first one to try it, traction control made it a crawl but i did make it, Awesome tire, Have never been stuck save for recent blizzard when we had 3'-4' ft drifts.

I would not waste money on additional set of TPMS. Have to get it set... and only use for a few months every year. Not worth it.
Just use the old method, check your tire manually
don't care much about the warning light on the dash.
