Check if the air filter is dirty, if so I will start by replacing it and clear the code. The intake air temp. sensor is built into the air flow meter(MAF) so check if the connection and wiring to the MAF is good. Make sure the MAF is clean too.

BTW the GN happens to be my favorite car.
Thanks for the reply, and the great info! I'll check it out.
And thanks for the kudos on my GN!

06 Avy, check engine light on, scanner says P0113, intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit high input.
Can anyone help? Any info is much appreciated.
Before you clean the MAF, disconnect it, remove it and clean it with a MAF cleaner (for example CRC), the can should tell you how to perform this service. MAF sensors are not cheap, so lay it aside where it won't get damaged.
Also disconnect your battery and clean up under and around the lower part of your air filter housing, you'd be amazed how much garbage accumulates under there and around/inside those air intake hoses.

Well, I cleaned underneath the battery box, installed a new air filter, and removed the MAF and cleaned it with some CRC Maf cleaner, reinstalled, and cleared the code-fired it back up and the code came right back!
Looks like it's time for a new MAF!

I fried a MAF sensor once and ONLY once when I cleaned it while it was connected. You may need a handheld model to clear the code, some of these codes are not considered "soft codes" and need to be cleared not just by disconnecting the battery. The ECU stores the information.....as told by Nissan/Honda techs (since they all have OBD II systems) Just a thought before you go out and spend on a new MAF.

I do have a hand-held scanner, and the code still comes back after clearing the code with it.
