Need help deciding on a newer avalon

Hey Im sort of in the market for a newer car and im coming here hoping for some help.
I currently own a 2004 avalon xls with 125,000 miles on it
There is really nothing wrong with the car except it needs a new u joint in the steering shaft, it gets really tight when its cold out.
Other than that the car runs beautifully, no noises or shaking.
I have found a couple of newer Avalons locally and im wondering which one you think is a better deal

2007 Avalon Limited w/ navi
22k miles
Private owner, no warrenty
$17,999

2008 Avalon Limited no nav
34k miles
Dealer CPO, 1 year bumper to bumper warranty, 7 year 100,000 miles powertrain
$23,999

I have driven both avalons and they are both near flawless
Would you pick one of these or wait a bit?

The other 2 cars I have looked at was a 2011 optima SX, which was really nice, but I dont know the reliability of them being a new designed car
And the other was a 2008 gs 350. Both of these cars are $29,999

Thanks for the help. Also if there is another car you can think of that would be appreciated as well. im 22 years old single no kids, but i like a larger luxury car

How important is price? For 30k you can get an '11 Avalon. If not new, then slightly used.

I'd be checking to see which year cars have a 'Traction Control' OFF button if you think the car will ever see snow.

What's the issue with traction control and snow? Other cars have this to help with snow. Is the avalon goofy?

Traction Control is beneficial, but it can prevent a car from climbing an inclined driveway in snow because it prevents any and all wheel slip by cutting the engine power and/or applying the brake. Most cars have an 'OFF' button to disable the Traction Control. In some years of the Avalon there is no way to disable it and drivers can't make it out of a snow covered parking lot. The '11 Avalon allows it to be turned off.

I would love to get the gs350!!
My limit is right around 32k so i could get an 11 Avalon but I would want a limited with all the extras. I wish the Avalon had an AWD option.

$32k would probably get you a base model Avalon. I don't know how prices are now, but a year ago they were very expensive. Fully loaded Limited was $42 OTD and the dealer wouldn't budge. Base Avalon was around $35-36k.

You mentioned that there was an '08 GS350 for $29k. I'd definitely get that.
