3rd Generation New Owner w/a question

I just bought an '05 Limited an want to know whats needed to fix a small problem. The center storage door won't close, the male part is broken off I guess. Where to get the parts, what I need and a how to is what I'm searching for.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

are you referred to the armrest storage or the one below it?

I think the part number will be for the whole storage and you may have better luck searching on eBay or local junk (good luck on that)

I also noticed my seat memory isn't working, is there a fuse I should check? If so which one?
Thanks.

Call these online Toyota parts places and they'll give you a part number. IF you need someone knowledgable I have a point of contact in Phoenix, AZ. Those electric seats have electric relays, with electrical it's a process of elimination, start with fuses and cleaning the connectors or checking for good contact. IF you find a really (usually a large black box in the engine compartment. Look for a similar one (same number, wiring diagram on the relay) switch it out with another relay and see if it works.

Electrical problems are money makers for dealerships. One thing I had to do today was remove the alternator, the pulley clutch was going out (bearings feeling rough and a diode) It was less expensive to rebuild (reputable shop) than buy a new one (TOyota rebuilds there alternators. All of these cars use alot of electrical power and they go through batteries and alternators, so it's important to get an electrical check (and have a load check also) when changing your battery. Good luck!

Thanks, both buttons at the same time did the trick.
Now to figure out how to keep the storage door from staying opened!
I'm a bit surprised by the power of the car too.

I was thinking the exact same thing I don’t have the memory seat option on my Avy but do on my Bimmer and it doesn’t work if you don’t know how to use it.

The clip is snapped all the way off? If so I’m thinking that you may be able buy the lid/top for the compartment off eBay or somewhere I doubt you can just get the clip, but maybe.
