Soon after I purchased my 05 Avalon, I had a clear shield (3M product) applied (it's like window tint w/o any tint) on the leading edge of the hood, fenders, head light covers, mirrors. It's great, it works for easy removal.

In addition, before I travel I apply Rain X on my windshield. There are some that don't like this, but for me, especially the bugs, are much easier to remove. I also take a can of "Invisible Glass) It comes in a aerosol can or spray bottle. You can get this at Walmart, Pep Boys, Checker's ect. I carry a couple of towels in the trunk and this really makes a huge difference when removing the bugs. I do this while I'm refueling and in the shade so the cleaner doesn't evaporate off a hot windshield. Hope it works for you as well!

it worked for a little while

The invisible glass works well but its a pain cleaning and spraying everytime i want something that can avoid the splattering in the first place.

I noticed your post regarding the clear shield and Rain-X for the windshield. Bugs have always been a pain and I've been the in habit of cleaning the front of the car every day to get them off. But your post sparked and idea. Why not apply Rain-X to the grill and the front surfaces that get the bugs. I did that this morning after washing the car. I then had to take a trip into town and when I returned there weren't any bugs on the car, and this is bug season. I'm sure I'll have to take more than one trip to prove anything and when there are bugs on the car it will be interesting to see how easy it is to take them off.

USA Ive tried that on the glass

I did try that on the windshield but the only thing it does is makes it slightly easier to remove the stains later.

i didnt try this on the front end of the car(grill etc) will try it on and see if it works.

only if there was a bug shield it would be a lot easier to avoid this problem in the first place

Thanks for replying to my post

So far the Rid-X on the grill and front end of the car is work very well. There are a lot fewer bugs and they are easily wiped off.
