Noise

I don't know if this has been asked and answered before but I have a 2008 and on occasion after starting and pulling off slowly hear a sound that sounds like someone breaking wind there is no smell but that is the best way to describe the noise, after going forward and stopping at a light or a stop sign i may or may not hear it again.
Any thoughts.

More than likely your cars ABS self-test. Anti-lock Brake System.

Does this every time you start and take off. Sound lasts for just a sec. or two.

I don't notice it every time (sometimes the stereo is turned up a bit) but it does happen when I first accelerate after starting and last only a second or two.

If it’s running fine and nothings amiss than I wouldn't worry probably nothing.

It is real - I think it's related to the climate control - have attributed it to vents and is quite embarrassing with people in the car. It does sound like "breaking wind" and I hear it, too.
Just today I was thinking about taking it to the dealer - surely they know the issue. I would spend a couple hunny figuring this out and not feel bad.
If I see any "valid" comments besides ABS, I'm willing to listen. It is definately inside the cabin, and sounds like a... well, it's been said.

I've been trying different scenarios and it does act like it may be related to ABS, but I cant figure out why it sounds like it's inside the cabin. It is really embarrassing... and it wasnt me - I promise (at least most of the time

If there is a noisy solenoid or servo motor involved, I'd like to replace it.

Any help? It cannot be ignored.

Is your ac running when you hear this noise? I get the same thing and I noticed when I turned the ac off it wouldn't do it. But I don't know why it does it.

It probably is the climate control... my car doesn’t do it, but my work truck and parents car does (a newer Chevy truck and ford 500) its happens when i switch the vents like from defrost to floor or vent its worse with the AC on. It’s not anything to be concerned about it just happens sometimes. or your car just has gas... lol

Its from the AC controller.

I have the same problem. I noticed that When I change the temp; lets say from 24C to 22C using the steering wheel buttons; I hear this noise immediately after.

Took it to the dealer and they said they adjusted something. Not sure what it was. But it came back again and again.

One day it stopped. Not sure how or what happened.

Best regards

Reza
