Frustrated with AC fan control

To this day, I still have trouble with the "button" setup fan, AC cotrol on the Avalon.

It is so frustrated to do anything. It is hard to use compare to simple big turning knobs.

Under normal weather, I just want some fresh air coming to the dash vent but I don't know how to do it. Any one know how?
Auto control always give a BIG blow when set it to 65-68 (I can understand the AC wants to kick in and get the cabin cool down fast, but that big blow just didn't work well for me)

Can anyone actually say the fan control is "Good"?

Well it seems your problem isn't with the Avalon's system, just that you don't like "automatic" climate control. If you want to manually control the fan and temp you can, press "AC" so that the green light is off and turn the temp down to low if you just want fresh air, and turn it up if you want heat. Adjust the fan speed manually as well if you like.

The Idea behind it is to leave the controls at 72F and set to auto and you do not need to control anything, this works for most but not all people.

When I want the AC on without the rediculous airflow that would accompany a 68 degree setting I just lower the fan level with the fan button. It still puts out nice cold air, but its not at a crazy velocity. My bigger complaint is about the auto climate control is in winter. I'm sort of a polar bear so I don't set it much warmer than 68, the hvac system likes to open the dash vent at blow cold air in my face after the cabin warms up. I wish it would just stay on footwell and keep lukewarm air coming out as opposed to just dumping freezing cold air in the cabin once its warmed up. My previous car had auto climate control and I never ever had to touch it ever, I'd set it at 68 and forget it. Never blew cold air in my face, never dumped cold air on my feet.

All you need to do is use the manual button for where you want the air to come out....foot-well, face, or both. Once you do so the auto light goes out and you are in control. Use the fan button to adjust how you want it. You can also adjust the temp button the same way. It's really very easy and a good system. Good Luck!
