2006 Avalon Wiper Arm Removal

Can someone give me a detailed decription of how to remove the wiper arms? I would like to access the area where the wiper arm equipment is...under the plastic vent grill at the base of the windshield. Does it just pull off by hand, or do I need special equipment (puller)? Thanks!

Pop of the nut cover, remove the nuts, make sure the arm is aligned with the tapered shaft and pull straight up.

Straight-forward as pointed out above.

You'll also need to do this(and remove grille) if you decide to change your own spark plugs(the 3 in the rear).

Pop off the cover and remove the 14mm nut holding it in place. Sometimes the arm is stuck on so you might need to rock it back and forth to get it off.
