Hello, I have been lurking on this forum for about a year now and really have learn so much about my avalon and i wanted to "THANK" all of the posters. Some of the great knowledge I gained:

-the read sun shade issues
-transmission flashing
-engine knock/noise after start-up
-seatbelt chime
-misc weird noises after start-up
-faulty oil line
-vented seats
-best wiper blades and tires to purchase
-accelerator pedal
-aftermarket chrome handles

The list goes on and on, I just wanted to remind all posters how beneficial this board is to everyone. Im sure this site has saved many people money.

================================================== ============

Now I have question:

Am i the only one that thinks the a/c blower in the 3rd generation avalons are kinda weak?

Of the other cars and trucks I have owned this hasnt been an issue.
FYI:
I have the a/c set to the lowest temp, rear vents closed with the blower on max and it just seems weak. The dealer has checked the system and stated theirs no problems/issues.
What can i contribute this too, black exterior car, big cabin/dash, not parking it in garage?

anyhow a big thanks from South Carolina!!!

I don't know that I'd say the a/c blower is weak. It will put out a lot of cold air, but I think there's a limit to what it can do. Big car, big greenhouse, and this has been the hottest summer in recent memory.

I have a black exterior and tinted windows. What I notice in summer is how much heat the broad top of the dash radiates into the cabin at face level. Increasing the blower speed seems to make it worse. I doubt there's a solution.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you checked your cabin air filter lately? I notice it gets clogged up pretty quickly and does have an impact on airflow.

...might be worth checking...
