radio intaller recommendation

My lovely wife jammed a cd in my '05 Avalon. I have been told that it is rare to be able to retrieve the cd without damaging the laser. So, I am now looking for a suggestion for a replacement audio unit that would fit as clean as possible as the factory install. My requirements are for ipod input, satellite radio and possibly a cd player. I am not looking to spend a fortune and would also need the name of a good place to purchase and install in the Toronto area. Finally, am I better to go with XM or Sirius and what player is best. I have been told that XM has better reception due to the 2 satellites orbiting versus Sirius which relies on horizontal. Finally, does anyone subscribe to the U.S for their radio or is it even recommended.
