New guy checking in...

Howdy all...

Just picked up our new (to us) 2008 Touring. VERY happy with our purchase although we haven't had too much of an opportunity to go out driving with it.

I'm sure I'll have questions on the car so you'll have to put up with that.

I CAN offer the group great advice on cleaning, waxing, detailing etc so if you have questions on taking care of your car, I am a detailing freak.

My biggest problem is cleaning the windows. No matter what I do, in the right light, you can see these gray smears. What's the secret of clean windows?

this is what I do
wash, clay bar (once a while), after that sometime I use detail spray
or
wash, clay bar, wax (maybe once or twice/year)

I have hard time getting the water spot out of the paint even after wash, clay bar...

Clean windows...

I like to use Invisible Glass myself. It's the same price as Windex and cleans a lot better - without streaks.

Often on the inside of the windows (in particular, the windshield) you get this light film of gray which is probably from the defroster. What I like to do with this is get a bucket of hot water and a sponge, damp the sponge and keep wiping & rinsing until the window is clean and free of the gray film. Then finish it off with Invisible Glass.

If you're a cleaning junkie like I am, try this website: http://www.griotsgarage.com
