Air Filter Box Clips

So I had my 07 Avalon in the dealer for the first non prepaid service(60,000 miles). And of course, they recommended tons of items to be serviced/replaced. While I was on the phone, they told me that the air filter box was cracked and the entire filter box needed to be replaced. When I picked up the car, the one clip for the filter box is missing and the filter box is hanging open. They wanted to replace the whole filter box assembly. And you guessed it, they say they can only get the part as one whole piece. Tonight I was able to find part numbers for the whole cover assembly but not the clips. Does any body know where I can find these clips?

Like you were told, the clips are only available with the whole upper half of the air cleaner box. If you don't want to buy a new one, a salvage yard is going to be your best bet.

Toyota is proud of thier plastic so it tends to be expensive. The upper air cleaner also comes WITH the MAF so that doesn't help the price any.

Go used and don't look back. Make sure you switch out the MAF from box to box since you know your's is good.

go to a hardward store to pick up a small clamp, $1 maybe? it will do the job. Now you are in no hurry to buy that expensive air filter box from dealer, search around, other toytoa model may use the same clip.

Thanks guys. I am looking at getting a used one. I have the same cover on my Camry. There has got to be one in a junk yard somewhere.
