On my Mother in Laws 2005 Avalon there is a red light on the dash just above the Instrument Panel Light control. It has no label and is not in the manual. She bought the car new and has not seen it until recently when some front body damage was repaired. Now it is on steady when the car is running or off.
Suggestions?

My guess would be after market alarm? Not sure why it would be on steady. Its not OEM that is for sure.

I got a little more information from her. It appears that the dealer installed some sort of Audiovox system. They gave her some Audiovox FOBs but she just uses the Stock ones. It always amazes me when someone drills holes in the dash and hacks into the wiring of a new $30K car to add after market crap.
The red light was never on before the body work (left front fender). I have no idea what it means and worry that it could cause problems.
