Newbie has CPO question on what's covered.

We've had our CPO 2008 Avalon for about 3 weeks and we're pretty happy with it.

We are having some trouble keeping air in the front tire and the tire pressure warning light comes on every week but then clicks off when I fill the tire. In short, I think there's a slow leak somewhere on the tire - it's been my experience that the tire probably isn't seated on the rim but we'll see.

So my question would be is THIS the type of thing that's covered under the CPO 'bumper to bumper' contract?

tires are normal wear and tear items..you might have a small nail where YOU cannot see it.

normal prices for a tire to be patched on the inside, then re-balancing at MY dealer are $30.

month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Warranty1
Coverage begins from date of Toyota Certified Used Vehicle purchase
Provides our highest level of coverage available
Covers any repair or replacement of components which fail under normal use due to a defect in materials or workmanship

a nail in a tire IS NOT a defect in materials or workmanship....but hey, they may still do it for free.

Well considering it's both front tires that lose air I'm thinking it's unlikely a nail in both tires that's causing the trouble.

by leaving out all correct information, you get the responses you get.

You're right, I stand corrected. I said tire in my first post but I am losing air in both front tires.

Not 100% out of the question to get debris in 2 tires at a time - especially the fronts as they would go over and pick up the debris before the rears got to it. Had this happen on an old truck when some spilled a box of nails on the construction site and had a rookie do the clean-up.
