2007 XL --passenger side door problems

A few months ago, my rear pass door stopped responding to the keyless entry remote and the controls within in the car. First, it would open, but not lock and now it won't open or lock unless you do it manually. Now, the front pass door is doing the same thing and sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't.

I read that it could be as simple as having the keyless remote reset. When I asked the serviceman at the dealership, he said it would cost $99 to diagnose and then it could be $500 or so dollars if it wasn't a simple fix per door.

Any one have prior problems with this that could assist?

Not on this car, but my truck has had wires split in the door boot. Maybe there's some bad wires in there.
