2007 Limited Info Screen Blank
My wife has a 2007 Limited that she loves. About a year ago we had an after market radio installed for better Ipod integration. The installer put the stock radio in the trunk to drive the info screen etc. Everything worked fine for about 4 months and then the info display would start out blank but it would usually come back after it warmed up. Finally the screen stopped working except for the startup "Toyota" logo. After that, it is totally blank which makes it hard to even set the temperature of the cabin.
I replaced the radio with a new one hoping the screen would come back but it didn't. I am tempted to replace the screen but it is expensive and it does light up with the "Toyota" logo when the car is first started. I would think that means it is working. I have checked all the plugs and everything is solidly connected.
Has anyone else had display problems? Is it possible that the display could be bad even though it lights up when the car is first started?
