Code P0351

Ok so one of my coils went out - code P0351 - cyl "A" (1). Does not look like an oil leak. CK ENG light on and off, code the same everytime, also studdred a few times cruising on highway at approx 2KRPM's.

I purchased a coil from www.thepartsbin.com for 27$ last week, it just arrived. (hope that's not against the rules to post that). I am going to install tonight, I will post results.

Update

OK so I finally got to this a few weekends ago but haven't had time to post.

I went to Advance Auto parts and had them clear the code.

I moved CYL1 coil to CYL4. I did NOT have to remove the upper intake manifold. I only had to remove the wipers and the panel etc... to access the coil.

After moving the coils around I ran it for a little while and got a check engine light again so I went to the parts store and it read as a P0354. I did this to verify that it really was the coil

The coil I bought for 27$ from thepartsbin.com was worth $0.27. I should have known not to go cheap and bought a "known brand" instead (they had them). I tried to install the coil and the connector did not fit no matter how carefully I tried to put it in. Long story short I ended up buying one at a local parts store (was hard to find) for 85.99 and it fit perfectly. After install I started the car and the check engine light was gone and has been out ever since (2+ weeks and a trip from Denver to Vegas and back).

Side note: Boy - these things have some serious power near sea level. I could not give it more than 60% throttle anywhere in 1st gear unless I want to wear out the tires.
