HAHA! Yeah, they will be out the door of the dealership the hour they arrive! Chances of me finding one will be slim. They have a waiting list of 45 people for that new Avalon!!!!

It looks soooooooooooo much better in person! I would have thought it was a Lex if there was no markings on it! The instrument panel is so beautiful, and the fake wood looks VERY nice!

I'm not sure about the smart key feature though on the XLS. Is there no "real" key standby? At least I didnt see one on the website.

I think the exterior is nice, but that dash is plain as hell! Outside kinda reminds me of a G35....

That's the Touring Edition. Second Top-of-the-line next to the Limited Edition. Yeah, I saw the new Avalon a week ago. Very nice, they even let me get inside it. Let alone turn on the engine. Damn, so sexy. The Voice Activated DVD/Nav system is And the Engine Start Button. But that's only available with the Smart Key System. This was when I was applying for a job at a local Toyota Dealers as a Salesperson. They were impressed I already knew most of the options, packages, and specs on the new Avalons and Camrys. They said they would of hired me, but with my school schedule in the way, they say that it won't be fair if I'm the only that has a flexible schedule. They were cool about it though. They said to come back anytime when I can get a better school schedule.

FYI, the Smart Key System is ONLY available on the Limited models. And the wood ain't fake. It's real wood.

"Wood grain and leather-wrapped steering whell and shift knob" Standard on Limited models only. Not available on other models.

I bought one! Phantom Grey LTD. Drove a demo - damn, 280hp is unbelievable. I currently have a 2003 Avalon I love. The new '05 is really a step up. I take delivery at the end of Mar.

Thumbs up '05 Avalon Limited

I just picked up my '05 Avalon Limited (Silver outside/Grey inside) last week to replace my wife's 2002 MB E320 wagon that turned out to be a lemon. We have just aboutt 200 miles on the odo and love it. Compared to the MB wagon the trunk space is limited but it has more amenities than MB offers on her previous ride. Lot's of toys to play with too!
Builit navigation, laser guided cruise control (almost typed missle ), stability control, keyless/ remote start option, rear spoiler.
I think the only thing that I wish it had was a cell phone integration option. With the voice activated control that would have been awsome.

All i can say about the new Avalon is I wouldnt buy the first run of this car. I work very close to this car and it has had its fair share of problems in the manufacturing process.
