What are people being quoted for 05 Avalon?

Thought this would be very useful for buyers if others shared what they were being quoted for the 05 Avalon. Namely I'm interested in the Limited model. Did a search and came up w/nothing, but some out there HAVE to have been to a dealer getting quotes for it.

I was told that right now the dealers are selling them at MRSP value now.

Boosted,

Don't know if it means anything to you, but my dealer came down over 2k(almost 3k) from the original 'out the door' price difference. His original was to give me 7k for my trade in (the KBB had it at 8k) plus me pay TTL, I had him include that in the amount I would pay.

Just below sticker. Pretty hard to deal when most are pre-ordered....

There's a very high demand and low supply currently in my area (northern California). I managed to find a Touring in central CA. Had to pay MSRP for my Touring Avalon. No room for negotiations...

Booster, to clear up my post of yesterday.

I went into the dealers with a 1999 Vovo S80 with 68K on it and in very good condition. His first offer to trade for a 2005 Avalon Limited with a sticker price of $36,051.00 was my car and me to pay him 31,500.00 plus me pay the TTL.
The final deal was I gave him my Volvo and $28,400.00 and walked out the door with him paying the TTL etc. out of the 28,400.
Don't know anything about a waiting list or what have you. From the first day I talked to him til the completed trade was 5 days.
Yes, he told me they were selling as 'fast as they got them in". He told me that the first day.
We looked at the Lexus line, the Jaguar, and the Avalon. My wife preferred the Avalon due to its' smoother ride, smoother shift, quietness and the extra little things it had on it. I liked it because of the positive aspects of reliability by Toyota.
We have 290 miles on it and are more pleased with every mile we put on it.
Only draw back so far is learning all of the features. That's a problem for us old, non-computer literate folk.
Hope this clears it up.
Good luck on your car deal.

Avalon Quote

I purchased a fully loaded Limited 2 weeks ago for 5% above the dealers invoice. They had a couple limiteds on the lot. I actually placed a quote request via the internet a week before. I had the price negotiated for the new car before I got there. The fleet guy I was working with told me if you want to get a good deal you need to work with the Fleet guys, not the guys up front. The fleet guys have more room to negotiate and can make most of the decisions instead of the up front guys running back and forth to their managers.

I test drove the limited model, sticker of $35K and no negotiating, in the Orlando FL area this past weekend. It had everything on it except the voice activated navigation. I liked it, although it seemed a bit underpowered and not all that smooth of a ride. Handled great otherwise and the options and gadgets make it a very comfortable feeling. We own a 2000 Avalon currently. What a difference! Ergonomically superior to anything we have driven. We will go back and work through the fleet manager. they say they are moving in and out quickly but no back log to my knowledge.

I am sure that the market has changed since your original post in Feb.
I requested a quote on the internet for a Avalon Limited 05. The quote came back from my local dealer $2000 under MSRP. (San Diego, CA).

Just as a note, I have been on several lots looking at the Avalons. I have noticed these consistencies: 1) The lot sales people all say that there is no negotiation room since there is such high demand and 2) They only have 4 (always 4!) Avalons on the lot. Therefore the percieved low inventory, high demand. I just found out tonite that there are 17 other Avalons on a remote lot, away from view. My goal is to buy my Avalon at Invoice +$1000. That means that I will pay about $3000 under MSRP.

Any other input is appreciated.
