2005 Avalon Ltd Mud Guards

Does anyone know of a source for color coordinated mud guards for the new Avalon? I just got my Blizzard White and the black rubber mudguards do not seem to be a good fit for such a nice looking car - believe Toyota can do better than that! Appreciate any assistance!

Zeke,

The salesman where I bought my car said they are available in matching color. However, it has been two months and they are not 'shipped' yet from Houston. I called again today and he said they weren't available in Houston as of last week and he would check again today.
Strange, he said they were $60.00 per set, which is cheaper than Toyota has them listed.
Don't know if he knows what he is talking about or not.

Zeke,

Reference mud guards.
I got this message yesterday and have ordered mine.

Hello John,

The 4Q2 mudguards show to be available today. Would you give me a call at 1-800-527-5368 if you are still interested in these. I can get your info and get them headed your way or you can mail me back the info. The set of four with shipping will run you $87.26.

Thanks
Bill G.

Did anyone order the mud guards and install them yet?? I'm curious if they matched in color and if they were difficult to install.

05,

I've installed my mud flaps. They fit just like they were 'made' for the car.
The front ones were a snap to install. Only thing, the instructions called for a 5/16 wrench. That didn't do it, took a metric (I think #10?)
The rear ones I removed the wheels due to drilling two holes and the tires didn't allow my drill inside of the tire to the well.
I'm well pleased with them.
As to the color matching, I defered to my wife (well versed in matching colors etc in her quilting) and she says she can't see any difference in the color.
I'm pleased with them.

Please let me know if the mud flaps affect your gas mileage? I would like a set but I really like the mileage I am getting and dont want to mess that up.

I have a full size pick up that I put mud flaps on and I could sweare it reduced my mileage to to extra drag on the interstate

Phamtom,I can't help you with the milage thing. My mpg jumps around so much that I can't put my finger on this. So far tho, I can't tell of any great difference since installing them.
my mpg since I've had the car (2240 miles) is at 26.8 mpg. The last tank, that had the mud flaps, was at 27.7.

Ordered and installed today the front mud flaps. They are a perfect fit and color match. While peeking under the car I was happy to see frame rails on both sides running from the front to the rear of the car.
